Denize Artuñedo Engblom is a Swedish artist born and raised in Tensta, Stockholm.
Denize´s upbringing in the projects has left a strong impression and is, together with her love for unwanted animals, recurrent in her art. She enjoys making acrylic paintings and ink drawings but also digital art. Atmosphere and details are of great importance as well as the social perspective behind the motifs.
Denize has created at family of characters/alter egos who have become representatives of her art. The Raven came first, followed by The Pigeon, The Rat, The Cockroach, The Laughing Gull and last but not least The Seagull.
