Our happy art journey began shortly after we were married in the jungles of Peru. We lived in an artists’ collective with a focus on art and happiness. During a trip we ended up in a hotel in northern Peru where we painted our very first large mural together. An unplanned meeting that would turn out to be the beginning of the world’s happiest art. We then traveled around Peru, Ecuador and Colombia where we continued to make big happy murals in the hotels we stayed at. We quickly discovered that people were genuinely happy to experience our art.
Inspired by humor, the colorful style of Peru and with patterns from the ancient Shipibo tribe that Jens lived with in the Amazon, we paint funny moments between animals and people, as if someone just pulled a joke. Over the years, we have developed our concept with the background of our previous experiences of working with people and today provide consultations, lectures and workshops in the art of being happy. We want to share our joy of life, make the earth a happier place to live and create the world’s happiest art that is accessible to everyone.
